Wii Bowling Ball Review

Wii Bowling Ball
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It appears that the marketing & research department at CTA concluded that only right handed people enjoy wii bowling because this accessory was clearly not designed for left handed people. For lefties, the B button needs to be used with either your ring finger or pinky which is highly uncomfortable and frustrating to use. If you're left handed, either learn how to bowl right handed or skip this product.

Wii Bowling Ball w/ AMF World Lanes Game Review

Wii Bowling Ball w/ AMF World Lanes Game
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought my Wii in large part for the Wii sports bowling game actually so I thought this would be a great purchase. I have to say that I do kinda regret the purchase. If I could do it again I would just buy the ball and skip the game.
The Good:
-Its a great novelty and it always gets a laugh from my friends when I pull the ball out
-It does make the game a bit more realistic
The Bad:
-The game is not like the Wii sports bowling at all. The viewpoint is slightly different and harder for me to get used to. You don't play with Miis or have any way to save a personalized toon. You only pick from the game's characters.
-Me and my friends don't have big hands at all but we can't use the finger inserts. If you have large hands the finger holes and spacing may be hard to deal with.

Wii Game Traveler Brunswick Bag - Blue Review

Wii Game Traveler Brunswick Bag - Blue
Average Reviews:

I recieved my bag earlier that the estimated delivery date. This bag has lots of room. I can fit 4 controllers, 4 nunchucks, 2 Wii wheels and a CD case in the top. I like the color also. I was going to purchase this from Bestbuy but you can't get any color but the pink and black bag. On their website they show all the colors but when you order the bag it doesn't give you a choice of color. I even called to see if I was doing something wrong and got a rude CRS on the phone. The bag is well worth the money. It is made very well. I love it!!!! Thanks Amazon for having the different colors!!!!

I bought this item for my in-laws. They love to play the wii bowling when they are over our house. They originally wanted to buy a wii but not worth the money to them because they only like the bowling game. We bought this as an alternative for them. I just got it today and decided to test it out with my husband before we give it to them as a christmas gift. Set up was easy, add batteries, plug and play!!! No problems with the remote sync. We tested all the games and they were fun. I think my father-in-law will like the bowling game alot. I did press the sync button on the console by mistake thinking it was the power button and needed to re-sync the remote. I followed the instructions on the back of the console and had no problems. Overall, very easy, great for kids and adults. I would purchase again.

HDE Dual Wii Remote Charging Station with Battery Packs Review

HDE Dual Wii Remote Charging Station with Battery Packs
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this for $20 elsewhere and am not convinced I got my money's worth. It is inconvenient to use and ineffective. The biggest gripe for me is that I have to take the rubber protective cover off the remote every time I want to charge it. I also have to fiddle with it quite a bit once it is in the station to ensure the safety strap isn't in the way. This wouldn't be such a big deal if the rechargeable battery held its charge for awhile but I find that the controller only holds its charge for about an hour of game play before it dies. This is certainly inconvenient if you are planning on having friends over and playing for longer durations of time. I also am not sure I understand the purpose of having the charger glow as the light does not change from red to another color when it is fully charged. I also find myself nervous to leave the remote charging for too long at a time since the instructions state that if I leave it unattended in the charging base for an extended period of time the batteries or unit may overheat and I will need to discontinue use. First off, "extended period of time" is very vague. Is that a day? A week? A month? It's hard to know. Not to mention discontinue use of what? Will overheating render just the batteries useless or the entire remote control as well. If it's the latter I would rather not take my chances since the charge has a short life as it is. Such a bummer because I was excited to get this at $20, but even if I had gotten it at the lower price advertised here I would still not have gotten my money's worth.

Mario Party 8 Review

Mario Party 8
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Ever since Mario Party debuted on the Nintendo 64, we've been receiving a new game in the series on a yearly basis. The last few Mario Party games have all been tiring. Almost rehashes. However, with the Wii, Mario Party has a chance to be a lot of fun again thanks to the Wii-Remote. Unfortunately, it isn't all its cracked up to be. The Wii-Remote controls work, but they feel like a last minute tack on, and ultimately some of the mini-games just aren't all that fun. Finally, there are other video games chock full of mini-games that make much better use of the Wii-Remote than Mario Party 8.
The formula for Mario Party really hasn't changed at all over the years. You and your friends (or the computer) will roll the die, move around the board at the end of each round of rolls you'll be thrown into a mini-game.
The mini-games are pretty short. Most of them being around 30 seconds long. Some of them are quite fun and make good use of the wii remote, such as the game where you have to shake up a soda can, or wipe off the chomp. However, there are not a lot of these kinds of mini-games. Most other mini-games don't make as big of an impression with the wii-remote, as most of them consist of you holding the wii remote like a basic gamepad and then tilting it left or right. Take for example, the game where you race on water skis. You don't actually do anything outside of tilting the wii remote left and right to jump ramps. It is in moments like these where the wii remote controls just feel tacked on. And unfortunately, this comes up in quite a few mini games. There are also a lot of mini games that simply have you tilting the Wii-Remote forward and backward. Again, the controls feel tacked on in instances like this.
The biggest slap in the face, however, is that there are a myriad of mini-games that don't use the wii-remotes motion sensor controls at all and you'll hold it like a gamepad, and play with it like it's a gamepad using the D-Pad to move your character and all. It's also to no credit that these games aren't really all that fun.
To the game's credit, though, when they do make good use of the wii-remote and its motion sensor controls, they really do a bang up job. Such as the mini-game where everyone shoots at the screen while one person dodges. It's just unfortunate that there aren't a lot of mini-games that do so, and instead make you either play the traditional way or just simply tilt the wii remote. There are some fun games here, but the game is populated by more games that really aren't a lot of fun.
As usual, Mario Party games are no fun by yourself. They need to be played with friends and family. Like previous installments, multi-player can be a lot of fun--provided you get a good mini-game. Some of the games are free-for-all but there are also some games where you'll be by yourself against three players, or working together with one other player. Mostly, though, they're free for alls, and playing with a friend is nice just so that you can see who's better. Multi-player has always been a strong aspect of Mario Party and it's no different in number 8. However, much like previous installments, the game is entirely left up to chance. One moment you're in first place, and after the very next roll you're in last. It's annoying sometimes because you really don't have any control. It's all a game based on luck. This is both a good and bad thing. Good because it makes the outcome unpredictable, and once more anyone can play this without any prior experience. It's bad, however, because for some who like to add a little strategy to their gaming, you just can't do it here.
Perhaps the biggest problem facing Mario Party 8 is that it doesn't really present a whole lot of new stuff that wasn't in Mario Party 7. With the game making use of the Wii-Remote, one would expect the experience to be quite different. Instead it's more of the same thing. Especially because there are other games on the Wii that are filled with mini-games that make far better use of the remote (Rayman Raving Rabbids comes to mind). In Mario Party 8 the wii remote controls either feel tacked on or you don't really use them. It's also hard to get past the fact that the mini-games aren't very inventive because of this. Certainly water-skiing is fun, but when you're just tilting left and right throughout the whole thing? You might as well have just put this on the Gamecube and let me tilt the analog stick left and right.
Graphically, it's no surprise that Mario Party 8 isn't the best looking game out there. Mario Party games usually aren't. At least it runs smoothly. There's no slow down or frame rate issues. It really doesn't look any different than any of the Mario Party games on the Gamecube however, and those who have a widescreen television will be disappointed to know that the game won't take up the whole screen, and instead will give you a boarder. Luckily, graphics don't make the game. Mario Party doesn't look bad, it just looks dated.
Mario Party 8 had so much potential. If they'd done more intuitive things with the Wii Remote, this may have been worth a buy. There are other mini-game collections out there that utilize the wii remote much better than this. There will be plenty of gamers out there that will be able to get past the big flaws and just have fun with it, but if you're one who's been playing Mario Party since the beginning, you can't help but admit a change is in order. Unfortunately Mario Party 8 doesn't do much for you.
Pros:
+When the Wii Controls are good, the games are actually quite fun
+Simplistic gameplay; anyone could pick this up and play it with no problems
+There are over 60 mini-games to play
Cons:
-There are far too many mini-games where the wii controls feel tacked on, and these games are pretty boring to play
-There are far too many mini-games that don't make use of the motion sensor controls at all
-There are not a lot of very inventive mini-games
-In short, the game doesn't do much to stand out above previous Mario Party installments. You'd think with the Wii Remote, Mario Party 8 would be something new to experience, but instead it ends up not being that much of a step higher than Mario Party 7

Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll Review

Super Monkey Ball: Step and Roll
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have always been a huge fan of the Monkey Ball series. Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 for the Gamecube are two of the best games ever, in my opinion. Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for the Wii was a great game too, although not quite as great as the previous entries in the series. After Banana Blitz, I had high expectations for this game. I'm sure you can guess by my two stars that I was sorely disappointed. The balance board controls are a complete waste of time, and when you play the Wii Remote there are tons of bizarre little heads placed on the course to make it more difficult. The courses are completely unimaginative. They are more frustrating than enjoyable or challenging. And to add insult to injury they have only included about 70 levels, compared to the 100-150 that are typical for the series. And why does Sega continue to include dozens of ridiculously shallow and unplayable mini games with the Monkey Ball series? Do not buy this game. If you are looking for a challenging Monkey Ball game for the Wii, pick Banana Blitz instead. It is only about 20 bucks and a much better game than this one. Or even better, pick up Monkey Ball 1 or 2 for the Gamecube and play them on your Wii. This game doesn't come close to the greatness of the other Monkey Ball games (with the obviously exception of the terrible Super Monkey Ball Adventure). It is obvious that Sega is incapable of improving upon the series so (sadly) they should just quit before they make another travesty of a game like this one.

This charging station does come in handy, however there is NOT a wall plug with this model. It plugs directly into the Wii. Therefore the Wii must be turned on to charge the controllers. The 2 color setup is nice. RED meaning batteries need charged and BLUE when they are charged. I would recommend to those needing a charging system to buy one that plugs into a wall outlet. I also feel that the actual charge of the battery should last a liitle longer.

ExciteBots: Trick Racing Review

ExciteBots: Trick Racing
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
There is no question about the appeal of racing games on the Nintendo Wii. After the massive success of Mario Kart Wii last year, it has honestly been very difficult to see that if Nintendo can actually top itself again. Well, Nintendo has shown that eagerness again. When the Wii got launched in 2006, one of the introduction titles was Excite Truck. the game did a good job at showing the need for speed onto the Wii. But the game was sadly overlooked in place of other titles like Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and the dynamic Wii Sports, which of course came with the system. Well, Nintendo is going to try the racing series yet again, and this time it is a bit stranger than before.
Excitebots: Trick Racing for the Nintendo Wii, brings in the wild, and honestly a bit weird into the gaming, as you race not cars or trucks, but robotic animals. Yes, robotic animals like Bats, Grasshoppers and Beatles. It might seem akward, but it does bring in a new twist in racing. The gameplay does work as it did before with Excite Truck, the way to score and unlock new races, is to perform outrageous stunts like Ring Jumps, perform tricks, and smash your opponents. The graphics look good, but the gameplay is also interesting. You can control the game like you did before with Excite Truck, by steering the controler like it is a wheel, or you can also use the Wii Wheel, which comes with this package, or if you've bought Mario Kart Wii.
There are a few new things here that make the game a bit strange. One of the things includes the extra bonuses you get during the race, are from racing stunts like throwing and scoring in darts, from trying to score a bowling strike, to tossing a pie in the clowns' face. You can also score stars by performing twirls on hanging bars. This requires a lot of control and especially tight timing. The other new feature is the use to play against other racers online through the Wi-Fi. It makes the games a bit interesting, as you score your way first to the finish line, as you and as many as 5 other racers make your way through tracks around the world from Asia, Africa, and Europe.
While there are a lot of new things here, there sadly is a few faults with the game. The first big disadvantage is the control. It can be very tricky at first, but it takes awhile to get used to. Also, unlike Mario Kart Wii, you cannot use the Gamecube or Wii Classic Controllers either. The game mainly uses the Wii-mote. The second disadvantage is the online gaming. While you can race against other Excitebots online, they could've allowed it to allow more than just 6 racers for a match.
You can buy Excitebots: Trick Racing with, or without the Wii Wheel definitely. But, if you haven't bought Mario Kart Wii, you might want to get the expanded version with the Wii Wheel, for a bit more extreme gameplay. Nevertheless, despite a few faults, Excitebots: Trick Racing definitely brings in a bit of weirdness into gameplay that is sure to knock you off your rockers. If you haven't yet played Excite Truck, than you'll definitely want a new spin on what makes the Wii extreme with Excitebots: Trick Racing.
Graphics: B
Sound: B
Control: B 1/2-
Fun & Enjoyment: B- for solo; B 1/2- for multiplayer
Overall: B-

Gameplay In ExciteBots: Trick Racing players race around internationally located tracks in the form of their favorite insect, amphibian or mammal themed bot. Each bot has its own special abilities which will serve players well when they find themselves on the right terrain to take advantage of these. As with pretty much any racing game, a major goal is to complete the course at the highest speed possible, but players are also tasked with performing stunts and participating in mini-games. Players win bonus stars for crossing the finish line sooner, but stunts, style and these mini-games are as important as speed. For example: have you ever wished that you could play poker while racing? Think you can toss a dart or roll a bowling ball while leaving the competition in the dust? ExciteBots provides you with your chance. Stars can be traded for a variety of goodies, like new vehicles, tracks, icons and statues. Control Schemes The control scheme of ExciteBots is easy and fun. The game canbe played with just a Wii Remote or via the combinationof a Wii Remote and a Nintendo Wheel accessory/any third party wheel. The 2 Button on the Wii Remote controller is the gas. The + control padgives drivers a speed boost. Players turn the Wii Wheel accessory leftor right to steer, tilt the Wii Wheel in midair to glide or to adjustpitch for perfect landings, swing the Wii Wheel in circular motions aroundboost bars to build up speed and press the A Button to activate itemsor to cash in hands in Poker Mode. Key Features
Special ExciteBots: Trick Racing bundle features included Nintendo Wii Wheel.
The game takes the big-air thrills and simple pick-up-and-play controls of ExciteTruck and ramps up the fun with a constant barrage of funky challenges and mini-games performed at blinding speed. Players shoot goals, throw pies and even play poker in the middle of rowdy races around off-road tracks.
Having your vehicles drive, walk or fly around the track quickly is one thing, but it's more important to go around in style. Players earn stars for huge jumps, cool tricks and daring feats at high speed.
Six players can race online* via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in both Excite Race and Poker Race modes. If friends can't join online, players can exchange ghost data via WiiConnect24 and challenge their friends to outdo their most daring tricks.
2-player multiplayer versus mode featuring split screen display is also available for local play.
Special Moves Just as in ExciteTruck, drivers can hit blocks that morph the terrain before their eyes and create ramps from which players can launch mega-jumps. Players can aim for and swing around boost bars or open presents that unleash a variety of wild items, such as bottle rocket boosts or clacker mouths that chomp on other racers to slow them down. Mini-Games Now what about those mini-games. Do you know of any other game that features high-speed robotic racers combined with bowling, poker, clown faces and sandwich making? Didn't think so, but how do these game work?
Soccer: Drive into the soccer ball and attempt to hit it into the goal.
Bowling: Drive through the pins and attempt to get a strike.
Darts: Line up your bot and let the dart fly. Try to hit bull's-eye in the distance.
Clowns: Hit the clown in the face with a pie by throwing it at just the right angle and speed.
Sandwiches: Drive through the ingredients in the proper order to make a delicious sandwich.

Wii Play Review

Wii Play
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Basically, this game is a more polished version of various Wii demos.
The games are somewhat fun---though they will probably be more fun for kids than for adults. But, the games themselves aren't exactly classics, just little things to pass the time.
As party games---in 2 player modes---the games are a bit more fun, but Wii Play isn't a superb party game.
If you need an extra controller, the Wii Play with Remote is a good buy. If you want to add a new game for you Wii, this won't be incredibly entertaining, though it will be cute.

Wii Sports Resort Review

Wii Sports Resort
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently purchased Wii Sports Resort along with the included Wii Motion Plus, and it has been an excellent game so far. Included are 12 games, 10 of which are new and two of which are updates to the classic Wii Sports games- golf and bowling.
Starting with the updates, I feel that Wii Motion Plus adds a lot to the gameplay for the golf game. More sensitive controls make it far more challenging endeavor, adding somewhat to the realism of the game. Also, I find that it is a lot more enjoyable to swing the club in this game than it was in the original. In bowling, it is much easier to add a spin to the ball. Of the additions, I would say that archery and swordplay are standouts, and I wouldn't be surprised if they make it into other Nintendo releases (i.e. Zelda). The game captures the illusion of actually playing with swords or a bow-and-arrow really well. I also really enjoyed most of the water sports, especially power cruising, which reminded me of Wave Race. Some of the sports, on the other hand, are less satisfying, such as cycling, since pedaling with your arms does not feel natural.
The Wii has seen a lot of "waggle-fests" released, and the nice thing about including Wii Motion Plus is that it really improves the motion-sensing fidelity of the Wiimote. I hope more games use this accessory in the future. For some of the multiplayer events, you may need to purchase additional copies of Wii Motion Plus (or get it bundled with another game), while others simply allow you to pass one Wii remote around. The graphics of the game are simple and colorful, and the game features nice water effects.
However, here are a few aspects of the game that I wish were better. Although this game has more depth than the original Wii Sports, with more games, multiple game play modes, and achievements, I still wish that there was some additional depth to some of the games (i.e. more courses, objectives, etc.), especially considering how enjoyable some of the activities are. Some people found that the original Wii Sports did not have sufficient depth, and those individuals may be disappointed. Also, it would have been nice to have online play for this game, since the game really seems to shine in multiplayer, and it is not always easy to find others to play.
Overall, I think that most people who enjoyed Wii Sports will similarly enjoy Wii Sports Resort.

Wii Sports Resort is easy to pick up and play, but comes coupled with deeper levels of play that are sure to challenge even the most experienced gamers. Wii Sports Resort whisks players away to a resort that's full of action, while introducing an unprecedented experience in physical reality. Ten Pin Alley Review

Ten Pin Alley
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When I sold my PS1, ten pin alley was one of the few games I saved. My only regret is that you can't save your games (PS1 games)on the PS2 memory card.
This was a really great game. As other have mentioned, it was very realistic (even the sound effects were realistic). The characters were kinda funny, and there was an option to change the color of their skin, hair, clothes. The tournaments were alot of fun too. They even have the wierd retro bowling option for those who like glow in the dark, friday night bowling. This isn't just one of the best bowling games ever, it's also one of the best PS1 games. It's also a great game to play with friends
It's a shame that ASC went out of buisness in 2000. I wish somebody would buy the license to this game and publish a sequel on the PS2 and X-box

Game Party 2 Review

Game Party 2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'll be honest: I liked Game Party 1, even though the controls were awful (Ping Cup was completely unplayable and Darts was frustrating at best). I liked the variety of games which were perfect choices for a motion-controled console, but it just wasn't developed well and wasn't my top choice for parties.
Enter Game Party 2. I felt a bit silly buying a game that I already had the majority of (GP2 contains all of the games from GP1 plus some extras) but I read a preliminary review from a gaming website and decided to give it a try. The controls are greatly improved. Still not perfect, but at least I feel like where I aim is where I'm (generally) going to land. Aim in GP1, and you'll probably hit somewhere else entirely.
GP1 had many, many pages of characters to choose from. GP2 doesn't have as much of a variety, but you can create your own custom player and save your stats. I'll actually pick up GP2 and play by myself, which I never did with GP1. Too frustrating. By obtaining tickets, you can purchase new things for your characters to wear; I haven't gotten that far yet since the games I played the most didn't offer tickets. It's nice that you can obtain tickets even while playing with friends, something that most games do not offer.
There is also a tournament mode in GP2 which is great if you have more than 4 people who want to play (up to 16, depending on the game). There are a lot of ways to conduct the tournament, such as loser goes home, an actual brackets advancement, and so on. Depending on which one you pick (we did a winner takes all), you can choose how many rounds (3, 5, or I believe 9) before the winner is declared.
The thing I disliked the most about GP2 gameplay was how it was arranged. Perhaps we didn't have the right settings (we cancelled out of a tournament to play individual games, so maybe it was still stuck on tournament mode), but there were just 3 of us and it was forcing 2 of us to be on a team and the other person to play solo. I would have preferred for each of us to have our own scores. Another bummer was the number of games that required you to throw underhand; we switched between games just to give our arms a rest!
Now for the games. There are 11 total, all of the ones from GP1 plus some new additions.
- Darts: Again, thanks to the improved aiming function, this game is playable. I really enjoy it. The venue where you are playing changes, so it's nice to be somewhere other than the pub in GP1.
- Skillball: Venue is a little sharper, and again the aiming helps, but it's still pretty straightforward. (I am a fan of the version on Carnival Games, so I'm used to a different style.) However, you can roll more than one ball at once, so long as the other one is on its way to falling in a hole, you can toss another ball. Since this is timed, it's however many points you can get before the buzzer sounds, rather than having 6 balls and seeing how many you can score. In that regard, I wasn't actually trying to get in the 100 slot and was just trying to throw as many balls as I could.
- Shuffleboard: It's quite a bit better than GP1, again because of the improved engine. We had a lot of fun playing this, and there are other options (first to 15, first to 21, and same for a version called curling which is arrange like a bullseye). I like it in real life, and this is a great substitute.
- Ping Cup: Wow, this is probably the most improved game. In GP1, this was virtually unplayable. It was so hard, I never played it. So when we decided to try it out in GP2, I warned everyone how frustrating it was. To my surprise, it was easy and pretty fun.
- Hoop Shoot: Again, my view of this is colored by Carnival Games, but it was okay. I landed only two baskets, so I was apparently doing something wrong. With a little practice, it can be fun, just tiring for your arm!
- Trivia: As with GP1, I just don't get this game, and the instructions are still not helpful. I tend to skip over it.
- Quarterback Challenge: The onscreen instructions helped me understand what was going on, and once I figured it out, it was enjoyable. Basically, you're trying to throw to your (yellow) team mates to advance and score a touch down. Throw to the wrong player, and you lose points. Whoever has the most points at the end wins. It takes some practice.
- Puck Bowling: This was amusing. It's similar to shuffleboard, except you are hitting the bowling pins at the end. Picking up a split is virtually impossible, so you have to be spot on with your aiming (and again, it's easier than if this game was on GP1). Very straightforward.
- Lawn Darts: Try to land inside the circles to score points. It's hard to tell where your dart will land based on the camera angle, so you just have to get used to the motion of throwing underhand.
- Horseshoes: This was frustrating at first. We couldn't score any points. Of course, a refresher on how horseshoes is actually scored helped us, and we were doing much better by game's end. Underhand throwing again.
- Bean Bags: I was really looking forward to this one, and it wasn't as great as I had hoped. First, it's played indoors, which was strange to me. But the board you're throwing to has different designs. Also, your throws don't seem to upset the bean bags that have already landed which makes it a bit less realistic. It's hard to knock your opponent's bags off. On the other hand, points don't cancel out so I guess there's less of a reason to do so.
Game Party 2 is a good addition to your Wii party game collection. It's not perfect, but it provides enough games that people are familiar with to be enjoyable, and the changes over GP1 make it a much more worthy purchase.

NEW For WII REMOTE DUAL CHARGING CHARGER DOCK STATION Review

NEW For WII REMOTE DUAL CHARGING CHARGER DOCK STATION

Truly a plug and charge device although you have to remove the wii remote plastic cover I did not have to remove the wrist straps to charge them. Only problem i guess there is, is that there are no instructions or at least none in my package except for a plastic label on the back of the batteries but, other than that none. so im not really sure who to call or contact if down the line I have troubleshooting problems. but so far so good.
It comes with a power cord USB type that plugs in the back of your wii its short though so you will have to set it up close to your console. When charging or powered rather the lights will glow blue when fully charged. The batteries will still charge when the wii is on yellow light standby but if the wii is shut down completely to the red light the charging dock will shut of as well. These were some things I had to figure out my self being that there was no instruction manual.
All in all it works great batteries last long and looks cool when charging. Don't know what the long term will bring but for now its perfect. I recommend this product for wii owners. Its cost efficient and does what its supposed too. a really good buy.

AMF Bowling World Lanes Review

AMF Bowling World Lanes
Average Reviews:

This is one of the worst games I have played in many years. I can't decide if my 1-word review of this game should be "horrible" or "abysmal".
Graphics are so lame I'd swear they were developed by some high school kid in computer class. Animation is choppy even at its best moments and laughably jerky at other times. You will laugh your head off when you see how the pins fall over - completely hokie and unrealistic. Whatever physics engine this game is using is either severely flawed or implemented incorrectly by the game's programmers. The controls (buttons) are the same as Wii Sports bowling, but far less responsive to the player's swinging motions and wrist input. Music/voices/sound are unprofessional, agonizingly repetitive and all recorded at different sound levels that don't mix well together.
The player is further hampered/frustrated by constantly and repeatedly having to press the A button multiple times just to throw your next ball (even more so than Wii Sports Bowling).
An absolutely amateur attempt to make a console game. Looks like another hunk of Wii "shovel ware" that's been dumped into the Wii marketplace of late. When will this pollution stop? Someone at AMF should have play tested this game before agreeing to have their name associated with it
Even if you find it in a "bargain bin" for [...] don't waste your dollar.
If you are one of those strange people who like to collect "the worst games ever released" then you might want to check it out because I think it might make some people's "worst 10" list. Everyone else should avoid it.

HDE Dual Wii Remote Charging Station with Battery Packs Review

HDE Dual Wii Remote Charging Station with Battery Packs

Seems to work just fine - battery life is pretty good, and for the cost, you would be hard-pressed to get 4 good rechargeable AA batteries at the same cost (at the sale price that I paid for it) The only downfall is that the Wii has to be on standby(yellow not red powerlight) for the charger to work, as it is powered via one of the USB ports on the back of the Wii. For those that don't know Standby is done by pressing power on wii remotes for 2 secs (console will have yellow light) where as complete powerdown is done by pressing the console power button holding for 4 secs(turns red).Another issue is that if you use the protective silicone jacket on the Wii remote, it has to be pulled up and out of the way for the remote to fit in the charger. For under twenty I'm not complaining all that much.
