New Balance Men's MW850 Toning Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)These shoes work as advertised. I have had them for two weeks now, and yes, I feel the difference. I feel it in my calves, hamstrings quads and in my lower front core. I usually do a lot of bicycle riding in the summer. I could not last summer because it was way too hot, so I have been looking for ANY way to augment my fitness taking into account my busy schedule. I found these and they work well. Especially if a lot of walking is involved. They say to only walk in these. I understand that. They work on a Balance board principle. To run with these shoes would be almost as bad as trying to run in 1-inch spiked heals. I wonder if I can use them while bike riding as the bottoms are still flat. In any case, I am hoping to see the WM1100 out soon.

It has a built in rollbar that prevent shin-splints and the shoes are extremely comfortable to run-in. I have been buying this shoe for over four years and two deployments to Iraq. I recommend this shoe to any runner that runs 4-5 times a week.

(More customer reviews)3/8/03 Having purchased this as a "Used book",I consider it quite a "find"..Its jacket with a picture of Georgia's Fort Stewart (and a very detailed couple of pages regarding the Army's "Fort Stewart"(Pgs 111-112) giveminteresting info as to the fact that the Fort was named after President Theodore Roosevelt's great grandfather(Brigadier General Daniel Stewart,a Revolutionary War hero)...the info is all voluntary info rec'd back to author Dan Cragg who reminds readers that despite the info within its pages ,that is does not include all USA bases everywhere.

(More customer reviews)I really like these shoes. They cause a figure 8 motion of the ankle and give a nice workout to the lateral and inside of the calf and I'm sure this will increase ankle stability and strength. Walking with these really is more of a workout,very noticable.
Nicely made too.
They do run short in length,I have many pairs of New Balance shoes and 12 has always fit well. These are to short however, at least a half size +. Had to give up and get next bigger size so only 4 stars for not being true to New Balance sizing-
