Though pricey, chose this product because I loved the soft muted colors....and being organic of course was a plus. The plush pins are adorable and very soft. Still like the product but their are a few cons. Specifically, product specs state toys are machine washable....I was hesitant to put them in the washer because the base inside the toy (allowing each pin to stand upright) seemed like it was made of cardboard so was concerned how it would fare in the wash. But thought the manufacturer would have taken that into consideration. So I washed them. As i had feared, the wash made the base (which i think is cardboard, very soft and the pins don't stand upright as well. You have to kind of push down and "mold" it a bit. That being said, would have been nice if there was a little extra weight of some sort or something more firm at the base to help the pins stand upright better....as that it the main purpose of the toy.

Toys to Sew: Dozens of Patterns for Dolls, Animals, Doll Clothes, and Accessories Review

I'd forgotten how much fun it is to work with felt. The patterns & instructions in this book are easy to follow and the results are great. I made the mouse skittles (the mice are the bowling pins and the ball is a cat) and my only warning is that you will find yourself making more and more mice, just because the group looks so good. My only quibble with the book is that I wasn't able to locate the pattern for the egg (meant to hold a baby dinosaur), but I shouldn't complain. Surely we can all figure out how to cut out an egg shape.
