I was intriqued by the "tricks and traps" aspect of the book. I've role-played for a while and a friend had the grimtooth trap books which he'd throw at us now and then. This shadowman book has more logic puzzles and extended puzzles - find key A to open door B to get key C etc. - than simple traps. I've used several of the simple puzzles in my D&D 4 campaign so far as well as one of the extended ones. My players except for the barbarian liked them even though they felt really stupid on one where they walked right by the treasure without noticing it. Anyway I had fun trying to solve the puzzles by myself and my players liked the break from the usual 50' corridors.
