I absolutely loved this book! I had the honor of receiving a free signed-copy from the authors for my birthday. I have recommended this book to Darlene H. Eaton who is the author of "The Osceola Community Club" with awards from the Florida's Writers Association. I had the pleasure to meet her and receive a signed copy of her book.
I am best friends with Mrs. Staschiak's daughter Lisa and I can not express how perfect Anne described herself in the first few chapters before she met Sam for the second time. It was almost as if you knew that something was missing from her life even though she seemed content, she just didn't seem completely happy. It wasn't until I read this book that I finally figured out the key to her complete happiness and the reason for the sadness in her eyes due to her past. It all makes sense now and from what I understand (after discussing with D. H. Eaton) Anne must have did a lot of soul searching to finally find her true happiness with her first love Sam. I can really relate to this book as many people remember their first love..but in Anne's case, it was 40 some years and still the bond was strong. I guess the notion of "time" does not stand in the way of true soulmates! Great job Mrs. Staschiak and Mr. Phillips and may you be blessed with happiness forever! When will Part 2 come out?
Best Regards,
Your friend,
Lorie B.

How long is forty-seven years? Not long, of course, in the cosmological order of things, but eons on the human scale. Forty-seven years has constituted a lifetime for billions; while uncountable others have experienced the sting of death long before achieving that modest age. Many have been born, grown into schoolchildren, then into wives or husbands, raised families, and watched their grandchildren begin their own exciting, unpredictable journey through life. And many others have experienced the sudden emergence of a mental image, common to much of humanity, so vivid and real that the passage of many years is erased at light speed. It is a memory, only appearing occasionally, often in a dream, or during a fleeting thought brought on by hearing a once so familiar name.It is the haunting, often intoxicating, sometimes painful memory of a first true love!
