Columbia Sportswear Men's Spinner Moc Amphibious Shoe Review

Columbia Sportswear Men's Spinner Moc Amphibious Shoe
My first reaction to this shoe was why would you want a strap across the back and what is it?
First they fit great and have a low almost sandal feel to them.
The sole, has a great boat grip, drain holes across the front to let out water and breathe.
The Backstrap, when the shoe gets wet this holds nicely to your skin it is not stiff as it looks in the picture. a silicone type feel but not sticky.
These fit a lot like the original crocks and look much better on your feet.
I will review back if they do not hold up long term. But for now I am sold and ready to buy one more color.
The only negative thing to say is they look so different at first glance.
Update: they have Omni-Shield advanced repellency for water and stain protection. This could come in handy for fishing trips.I bought some to give my Dad for Fathers day...

Water shoe meets trendy canvas slip on style in the unique yet seriously wearable Spinner Moc.A minimal Techlite heel cup provides fantastic fit while water resistant canvas forms an upper with a contemporary silhouette that smacks more of weekend-wear than water wear. Columbia skipped the usual cloth insole and stitched the upper straight on to the molded midsole so the Spinner won\'t get soggy or bogged down by a little trip into the breakers. The Omni-Grip Rubber sole features razor siping for ultimate traction on both wet and dry surfaces.

Men's Merrell Chameleon3 Stretch Review

Men's Merrell Chameleon3 Stretch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have purchased Chameleon stretch shoes by Merrill since the first year they came out, perhaps as many as seven pair, including the newest version that I just bought. I still have an original pair of the Chameleon shoe with its smart orange laces and trim, so this review is based on a side-by-side comparison. This will be the LAST pair of Chameleon or Merrill shoes that I ever buy. Merrill has sought to maintain the price point of these shoes rather than maintain the integrity of the shoe and its service as one of the best light hiking shoes around. While the front of the shoe was necessarily redesigned a few years ago to eliminate the "peeling" of its rubber toe, since then the shoe has consistently been made cheaper and less sturdy. The rear sides of the shoe used to be high enough to partially shield the ankle, but now the edge falls well below it, allowing for increased lateral movement. Instead of five laces, there are now just three, resulting in less support across the bridge of the foot. Black rubber has now replaced much of the shoe's real estate that had formerly been constructed of suede or breathable fabric. So the shoe is also heavier. The top edge of the shoe along the ankle used to be made of a supportive foam-filled fabric band, but now it is simply stitched "frankenstein" fashion. It looks and feels horrible. All this shoe is good for now is to wear for short walks or for trips into town. The new Chameleon3 stretch is a waste of money. Merrill should be ashamed itself for producing and selling this shoe.

Columbia Sportswear Men's Techsun 2 Water Sandal Review

Columbia Sportswear Men's Techsun 2 Water Sandal

My first impressions of the Techsun 2 sandal are that the sandal is very comfortable and supportive. I was looking for a sandal that fit well and stayed with me whether running or climbing in and out of boats. Maybe more importantly, I wanted a sandal with good traction on wet wood and plastic docks and aluminum ramps. The Techsun does a great job on slippery surfaces. The rubber sole looks like it was designed specifically for wet traction. Sizing is a bit big - I chose a half size smaller, and it fits perfectly. Can't say much about durability yet, although it appears well made.
